"I'm so proud of you."

It's always funny to hear one of your kids say something the exact same way you say it. (Of course, unless it's a bad word!)
Cassee did such a thing yesterday.
Whenever she does something great or smart I say to her, "I'm so proud of you."
(This kid tends to get more discipline than praise, so it's really important to remember to praise her when I can.)
Yesterday she came to me and said she needed to use the bathroom. I said GO! Adam followed her to the bathroom. She came immediately back and said she couldn't find her little toilet seat that fits over the big one. I told her to look around on the floor. Emmalynn always takes it off and sets it on the floor.
While Adam was in there alone he found the toilet seat and held it up for Cassee to see when she went back in there.
As she took it from him and set it on the toilet she said to him, "Adam, good job! I'm so proud of you!"
I couldn't help but laugh when I heard that because she used the exact same words and tone I use with her. She sounded just like me!

Our little "Princess".

Adam watches his two big sisters, A LOT. He needs more male role models in his life!

Here he is with the play earrings. He often likes to wear the princess crowns too. When he has to fight with his sisters for their dress-up stuff he says, "I a princess!" I guess he hasn't heard the word "prince" enough!

This was yesterday. I left my make-up case on the bed and he got into the mascara. He knew it went on his eyelashes. He just also touched up his lips too.
And yes, he's wearing a poofy tutu. He loves to dance around in it while singing Cassee's favorite line, "Some day my prince will come."
Since he's only 2 it's still pretty funny. Hopefully he'll be past this by the time he turns five.
Dan's not so happy about his only son wanting to be a "princess"!!

Adam's Early B-day Party

We had a little early birthday fun for the boy who doesn't actually have a birthDAY this year. (He was born on Leap Day!)
The whole group: Grandmam, Dorothy, Holly, Jack and us.

Here's the fabulous cake Leesa made:

He even managed to blow out the candles!

He was REALLY excited to get the candy off the cake!

Here's the one picture with Mommy!

The Results

The voting has ended and there seems to be a tie. 18 said boy and 18 said girl. That was funny.
Sorry I wasn't home much today to post this earlier.
If you said girl, you were........WRONG!
We are having another boy!!
We have not officialized a name, so you'll have to wait on that one.
I'm not due for another 4 1/2 months, so really all of us have to wait anyway!
Thanks for all your votes. It made our announcement a little more FUN!

Scout camps!

I am a scout camp widow this weekend. I have a feeling it's going to happen more often than I'd like. This weekend Dan is up in Durango, CO. It's a Klondike camp out where they build snow caves and sleep in them. I hope he survives the night! He hopes he survives too.
