5 years in New Mexico

In keeping with our yearly tradition of taking a family picture in front of the Bloomfield sign, here's the one last year in 2013.

And here's the latest and greatest in 2014.  We've now hit the 5 year mark of being New Mexicans.

Little Brexton

We added to our family this summer with Brexton Lee Jones.
He was born on June 27 at 5:56 in the morning.  He weighed in at 7lb. 12 oz., was 21.5 inches long with lots of dark hair on the back of his head.  Not so much on the top.  He came out kinda looking like Dan!
It's exciting to have another baby to hold, but we sure do have our hands full now.

3 Years as New Mexicans

We've reached another year's milestone of living here.  We've now been here for three years!

Here's the picture taken right after moving here in Aug. 2009.  Only three kids.


Here's the picture in Aug. 2010.  Andrew joined the family.

Currently with five kids in 2012.  Brexton joined the family in June.


And yes, there are three different signs from different directions coming into Bloomfield, and we've now taken a picture at every one of them.

Dan loves his job here at Turbo Care.  Leesa loves all the activities she's in as well, PTA, MOPS, teaching piano lessons, etc, etc, etc...  The kids are in soccer and piano lessons, and Emmalynn clogs.  Emmalynn started 3rd grade, Cassidee 1st grade, and Adam is in preschool this year.  We are all healthy and happy with great friends from school and church.

Life as we know it is good.

Number 5 is on the way!

Yes, Kid #5. We are due at the very end of June 2012. We plan to be surprised at what we get this time. Expect some exciting news in about 6 months.

Fun at home.

Tonight the kids wanted to go outside to play. It was VERY cold out. They had fun finding the winter hats, gloves, scarves, etc.
Emmalynn dressed Andrew up to go outside.
She found him a cute little hat and scarf, then put on one of Cassidee's sweaters.

Also, notice that she put NOTHING on his frozen little feet!!

We also decided that it was time Andrew had his first haircut.
Andrew was getting quite the little mullet.
He did NOT appreciate Daddy doing the honors.
We got the first haircut out of the way regardless of the tears. Poor little boy.

This was a shot of the kids right before they went Trick-or-Treating in the neighborhood.
We had a witch with her little cat, and two spidermen (with big muscles!!)

We have a really great neighborhood for trick or treating. Way more kids than just the few ones that live here end up asking for candy. This year we counted, kind of.
I started the night with 230 pieces of candy. We ran out by 8 o'clock! I guess the early bird gets the candy around here.

2 Years as New Mexicans!

In August we hit our two years in New Mexico mark. We are a couple weeks late getting our yearly by-the-Bloomfield-sign picture.
Our regular sign we've gone to before has road construction next to it so we had to go to one on one of the other roads coming into Bloomfield. This one is a bit bigger!
We really love living here and having the friends that we do.
